Your local Liberal Democrats are concerned to hear that our popular local shops are under threat.
A planning application has been submitted that will turn our local shops into flats. Residents have until 2nd March to object to these plans.
Join our campaign and sign the petition below BUT you should also put in your own objection. For your comments to affect the decision, they must be made on planning grounds e.g. Loss of privacy, Noise and disturbance, Loss of light, Car parking, Traffic generation, Noise and disturbance, Character of the area, Design, appearance and layout, National and local policies. Be as specific as you can. We have found this planning law blog available here provides useful information.
The application would demolish successful established businesses of many years. The loss would also reduce choice, cause the need for further travel and present difficulties for the elderly and those who find it difficult to get around.
We the undersigned note the planning application to demolish the existing shops at 175-179 Gordon Road, High Wycombe and to turn them into residential housing. As existing customers we believe they are a key part of the local community. The loss of these shops would reduce choice, cause the need for further travel and present difficulties for the elderly and those who find it difficult to get around.
