Liberal Democrats Win By-Election
Written by morty on January 30, 2009 – 12:44 am -Liberal Democrats have won a by-election for Marlow Town Council gaining the seat from the Conservatives.
On a low turnout (14.5%) due in part to the Conservatives decision not to issue poll cards Liberal Democrat Ivor Coleman swept to victory with a majority of 23!
It is clear that no matter what is happening at the national level the Conservatives in Buckinghamshire are becoming increasingly unpopular.
The full result
Ivor Coleman (Liberal Democrat) 503
Ian Wernham (Conservative) 480
Our congratulations to Ivor and the team.
