		<description>I had known Marie for some 15 years, and always enjoyed her company.   She had an infectious enthusiasm for life, and for everything she did.  Even in her declining years, when lack of mobility often impeded her direct involvement, she found ways to continue to engage in active politics, and her cheerful optimism never relented.

She will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.</description>
