You are invited to attend a public consultation meeting to start the implementation of Neighbourhood Policing for residents of Abbey and Ryemead.
The meeting will take place at High Wycombe Cricket Club on the London Road on Wednesday 30 January commencing at 7.00pm. Insp Dave Gilbert will explain how Neighbourhood Policing works, after which residents will be invited to identify the main issues which are causing concern.
This is a new approach to policing which involves local communities working much more closely together to resolve their problems. The aim is for officers and other public agencies to respond to the issues which directly affect residents and tackle them at their root cause, providing long term solutions as well as increasing reassurance and reducing the fear of crime.
Following this meeting a Neighbourhood Action Group, (NAG) will be set up to work out and plan how best to address the issues which are raised. The group will include local residents from the parish, police representatives, district councillors, housing associations, and schools.
This is a great opportunity for local people to join together and help find solutions to local issues and it is hoped that as many people, both young and old, will come along to the public meeting.
Please do try to attend and pass on this information to your scheme members, friends and family who may also wish to attend.
