Big Surge to Lib Dems in Chiltern Rise

After a hard fought campaign in Chiltern Rise, the Tories only managed to cling to their seat by 41 votes. In West Wycombe, where residents are worried that the Tories want to close the Community Library, the surge in Lib Dem support was particularly strong. The Tories will know that they have a fight on their hands in every seat in 2007. Labour’s paltry 80 votes can only be described as humiliating! A huge thank you to everyone who helped with leaflets and canvassing, and a particular thanks to those who lent us their vote for the first time. Only the Lib Dems will be happy with this result. The Tories are looking nervously over their shoulders now, and Labour must be expecting to face total annihiliation in 2007.
